Singapore Airlines (SIA) plans to commence a five-times-weekly service on the Singapore-Munich-Manchester route from 28 March 2010.

It will operate Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the route, says SIA. The carrier's three-times-weekly non-stop service on the Singapore-Manchester route will cease with the new Singapore-Munich-Manchester service.

Munich is SIA's second destination in Germany. It flies the Singapore-Frankfurt-New York route twice daily.
