SIA Engineering and Parker Hannifin are to establish a Singapore-based joint venture company to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of hydro-mechanical components. Singapore Airlines subsidiary SIA Engineering says a memorandum of understanding has been signed under which it will own 51% of the new company. Parker Hannifin, which makes motion and control systems, will own 49%. The planned joint venture company will maintain, repair and overhaul components made by Parker Aerospace, a unit of US-based Parker Hannifin.
