Ireland has a long tradition of exporting human resources, particularly across the water to America, and the current corporate network of the Sifco Turbine Group parallels that trend, with two of its five offices based in Minneapolis and Florida.

But the turbine overhaul specialist, with its three other plants in Cork, has an eye on international opportunities beyond its traditional market.

Sifco, showing with the Irish Trade Board delegation, is billed as a company synony-mous with turbine solutions, and officials say they're happy to answer the call from customers anywhere.

The company is high-lighting Pratt & Whitney's approval for JT8D T1 blade repair of its environmentally-friendly cleaning process which eliminates the use of chemicals.
