Sikorsky says its worldwide customer service group is on track to reach $1 billion in annual revenues by the end of this year thanks to three major military support contracts won in the last six months.

The Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) signed a $113 million contract with Sikorsky in March to provide performance-based logistics support for US Navy SH-60 Seahawk dynamic components.

Sikorsky says it will provide a wide range of support for repairable items on the SH-60 series over the next 31 months. The programme is designed to deliver a reduced total life cycle cost and shorter logistics pipeline on the Seahawk.

In January Sikorsky inked a five-year, $311m deal with the US Army to provide new spare parts for the entire army fleet of UH-60 Black Hawks. Dubbed the 'springboard' contract, it calls for Sikorsky to supply sole-source parts in a bid to improve turnaround time for more than 2,000 UH-60A and UH-60L machines.

The Connecticut-based manufacturer has also strengthened its partnership with the Corpus Christi Army Depot by signing a $275m contract to provide technical, engineering and logistical support services for military Black Hawk, Pave Hawk and Seahawk helicopters.
