Sikorsky is to acquire privately held military aircraft support specialist Derco Holding for an undisclosed sum. Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Derco distributes and repairs components and had sales last year of over $200 million. The transaction, expected to close next month, will boost the helicopter manufacturer's after market revenues to $1 billion next year. Derco supports the McDonnell Douglas F-4, Northrop F-5, and Lockheed Martin F-16 and C-130, as well as various commercial aircraft.
