CAE is to supply China Eastern Airlines with a convertible Airbus A330-200/A340-600 full-flight simulator equipped with CAE's Tropos visual system in early 2006. It will be the first to be convertible between the A330 and the Rolls-Royce Trent 500-powered A340 family. Taiwan's China Airlines, meanwhile, has ordered an A330-200 simulator with Tropos visual from CAE. Lufthansa Flight Training is adding a Thales-built Boeing Next Generation 737 simulator at its Berlin centre under an operating lease and joint marketing agreement with GE Capital Aviation Training.
