More than 30 airlines worldwide are using the FMGS Trainer simulator programme made by Faros.

The French firm which develops training programmes has come to the Paris Show for the first time "-to get our products known in the industry", says manager Claude Kieffer.

Designed for on-training, the programmes come in two formats. One is a 3D mock-up while the other is a 2D version which can be used on laptops and computers.

"Most of our products have been available for less than a year," says Kieffer. "The FMGS trainer which is based on the Airbus A319, A320, and A321 is currently being used by United Airlines, Swissair, Singapore Airlines, Philippine Airlines, TAP and Iberia, to name a few."

Herve Auffret, Simulation System Engineer for Airbus, says: "We recommend our customers use these programmes and use them ourselves in all our training centres."

This particular simulator performs a whole flight from pre-flight to go-around phase.

This and other simulators can be found on the Faros stand in Hall 4/ B1.
