Danish aerospace parts distributor Satair is to buy 49% of a hydraulic products repair company in China. Announcing the deal at the show, Satair said it will be paying around $1.1 million for the 49% stake in Chinese Sichuan Ruibo Hydraulic Component Service (Ruibo). Chengdu-based Ruibo was established in 2000 and Satair says it posted around $2 million in revenue in 2007. "Initially Ruibo will be providing services to the rapidly growing Chinese aircraft fleet, but in just a few years from now China may become a central market for aircraft maintenance and so we wish to establish a foothold there as soon as possible," says Satair.
