Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering (GAMECO) has start doing Boeing 777 line maintenance at Shanghai Pudong International Airport to support its main customer China Southern Airlines.
"GAMECO has located engineering and technical staff at Pudong International Airport in support of the China Southern 777 freighter fleet which operates from there," says GAMECO.
This expansion into Shanghai "supports our strategic aim of expanding our footprint here in China and continuing the growth of our maintenance capabilities," says GAMECO general manager Bill Norman.
GAMECO is based at Guangzhou's Baiyun International Airport and is a joint venture between China Southern and Hong Kong's Hutchison Whampoa Aircraft Investment.
