Lebanon's Middle East Airlines (MEA) has a signed an agreement with International Aero Engines (IAE) to support the V2500 SelectOne on the carrier's fleet.
The long-term contract also covers IAE engines on MEA's six firm and three option Airbus A320 aircraft, says IAE. The airline received the first of these in January.
MEA already operates six Airbus A321s, powered by IAE engines, since 2002.
"This agreement extends this to become a true partnership that will see us working side-by-side to ensure that our latest fleet of V2500 SelectOne retain their performance benefits and enable us to get the greatest value from them," says MEA's chairman and president Mohamad El-Hout.
