Singapore Airlines is considering an all-business class offering for its non-stop flights between Singapore and both Los Angeles and New York Newark.
SIA's existing non-stop flights on the two routes are operated with Airbus A340-500s in two classes, business and executive economy. The five 181-seat A340-500s are the only aircraft in SIA's fleet with the executive economy product.

The carrier has been assessing the feasibility of switching to an all-business class configuration for the aircraft, as the ultra-long-haul flights are primarily targeted at business travellers.
But it stresses that a switch to entirely business class "is something we are only considering at this point [and] have not made a decision to go down this path".

SIA also operates one-stop services to both Los Angeles and New York, with first-, business- and economy-class seating.
The carrier launched non-stop services to the two US cities in 2004. At more than 18h, Singapore-New York Newark is billed as the world's longest commercial non-stop service.
