Singapore Airlines has ordered two more Bombardier Learjet 45s for its flight training programme. This will take the fleet to six aircraft and will allow SIA to increase ab initio training throughput to over 150 pilots over the next year. SIA has been a Learjet operator for 10 years and was part of the design council which helped define the Learjet 45. The airline played a pivotal role in the development of the aircraft's flightdeck, which is similar to that of Boeing and Airbus airliners.
