Japan Airlines (JAL) has contracted Pratt & Whitney (P&W) Global Service Partners for the maintenance of its P&W-powered engines and engine parts.
The seven-year fleet management and part repair agreements are expected to be worth a combined value of around Singapore dollars (S$) 450 million ($357 million).
Under the fleet management deal, P&W's Eagle Services Asia engine overhaul facility in Singapore will provide maintenance services for the airline's PW4090 engines.
In addition, the company will provide part repair services for the airline's PW4074, PW4077 and JT9D engines through its Global Service Partners part repair network.
