Lufthansa Technik has secured contracts from three Southeast Asian carriers, and is expanding its partnership with Thailand’s Nok Air.
These were revealed by the MRO firm at a press briefing on the sidelines of the Singapore air show today.
Lufthansa Technik will supply Garuda Indonesia components for its Bombardier CRJ1000 regional jets in Jakarta, as part of a total component support contract signed with Garuda’s MRO arm GMF AeroAsia.
It will provide Vietnamese low-cost carrier VietJet Air transport management support for its expanding fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft. This will cover routine and aircraft on ground support, and dangerous goods transport.
It also added Thai Airways Technical, and will manage the airline’s repair orders in the USA as well as manage the overall cycle time of the orders.
Meanwhile, Lufthansa Technik is expanding cooperation with Thai low-cost carrier Nok Air to include supplying of all components and consumables, engine and thrust reverser overhauls, and services for landing gear and brakes. It is also establishing a warehouse at Bangkok’s Don Mueang International airport to support Nok’s needs.
