The Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) has joined the NATO Flying Training in Canada (NFTC) scheme, signing up to the advanced and lead-in fighter training phases.

Six pilots and two flying instructors will be sent to the NFTC every year for Phase III Advanced Training at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and Phase IV Lead-In Fighter Training at Cold Lake, Alberta. The commitment is for 20 years.

Phase III includes 80 flying hours in BAE Systems Hawk advanced trainers, while Phase IV includes 52h on the same aircraft.
