Singapore has selected the General Electric T-700-701C turboshaft, over the Rolls Royce RTM 322, to power its planned eight Boeing AH-64D Apache helicopters. The weapons package ordered includes three Lockheed Martin Longbow millimetre wave radars. Singapore has to decide shortly between basing the machines for training at its existing Grand Prairie facility, or the US Army's Fort Hood, both in Texas.
