Aviation officials from Singapore and Australia have renewed discussions aimed at reaching an agreement on implementing "open skies" between the two countries. Previous discussions on deregulating flights between Singapore and Australia ended in failure in September 2000. Singapore already has open skies pacts with New Zealand and the USA. Singapore Airlines is looking at the possibility of launching a domestic carrier in Australia.
