Changi Airport posted a 6% increase in passenger traffic in October, its third consecutive month of passenger growth.
In October passenger numbers rose 6% year-on-year to 3.32 million, says Changi Airport Group, adding that this is the third consecutive monthly rise after September's 6% and August's 0.5% rise.
Cargo traffic in October also grew 2% to 154,000t which comes after 13 months of declines, it adds.
Traffic within Asia has fuelled the growth in passenger traffic and low cost carriers have largely carried this new traffic, says the airport, adding that low-cost carriers now account for about 20% of Changi Airport's passenger traffic.
