BMW Rolls-Royce has signed an agreement with the Chinese Gas Turbine Establishment and the German Aerospace Research Institute for research into high-pressure turbines. It will focus on the influence of blade design on the aerodynamic performance of high-pressure turbines in advanced jet engines. The results will be used for further optimisation of blade design, leading to lower fuel consumption and exhaust emissions.
