Sino Swearingen Aircraft has completed testing of the SJ30-2 twinjet aircraft in drenched and flooded runway conditions to simulate the effects of rain and slush. The tests included runs of the aircraft through water troughs up to 20mm deep at up to 110kt (200km/h). The trials were designed to demonstrate that the engine inlets are protected from excessive water ingestion.
