IATA and ICAO say they have won agreement from Greece and Turkey to expand airspace capacity in south-eastern Europe in time for the Athens Summer 2004 Olympic Games. A new route network will come into operation from December, enabling the Athens and Istanbul Flight Information Regions to increase flights by 15%, saving airlines an estimated €40 million ($35 million) per year.
