Business aviation service providersExecuJet Aviation and Hawker Pacific have opened their new joint venture Skypark fixed-base operation at Kuala Lumpur Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah airport in Malaysia.

The development forms part of a wider $91 billion project to transform the former Subang International airport - which until 1998 was Kuala Lumpur's main airport - into a business aviation gateway.

The Skypark FBO's 836m2 (9,000ft2) SkyLounge features meeting rooms, passenger and private lounges, crew rest and flight planning rooms, shower and changing-room facilities, a gym and mosque.

Both companies plans to establish separate maintenance, repair and overhaul operations at the site. Development work at Subang is scheduled for completion in 2010.
