To expand its United Express feeder operations, SkyWest Airlines has ordered 64 more Bombardier CRJ200 regional jets in a $1.4 billion deal, with options on another 64. The new order means SkyWest has commitments for 248 CRJs:129 orders and 119 options, 29 of which are conditional on an extension of its operating agreement with united next year. Deliveries of the CRJs will start in March 2002 and continue until December 2004. SkyWest's order took the CRJ orderbook to 798, with 460 delivered and a backlog of 338.
