Lithuanian charter operator Small Planet Airlines will grow its Airbus A320 fleet as it expands into France and the Benelux region.
Next year, the carrier will add two A320s to its fleet, which currently comprises two A320 and six Boeing 737-300 aircraft, said parent company Avia Solutions Group.
The airline also revealed that it plans to enter into Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg and France.
To fuel the expansion, the company recently appointed Mark Wentzel as vice-president sales for the Benelux countries. "We will work hard in order to earn the confidence of tour operators [in the region]," he said.
Small Planet Airlines has stations in Lithuania, Estonia, Poland and Italy.
After the Italian air operator certificate was gained in June, the carrier based 737s at Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino, which were flown by Italian crews.
