Boeing has selected Smiths Industries to supply an improved power management system for the US Army's AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopter fleet. Development of the integrated electrical power management system (IEPMS) came in response to Boeing efforts to drive down production costs and the issue of parts becoming obsolete.
