Smiths Aerospace is to supply Kanto Aircraft Instrument with the Advanced Electrical Power Management System (AEPMS) for more than 60 AH-64D Apache helicopters for the Japanese Ground Self-Defence Force.
The contract is valued at more than $30 million for Smiths.
The systems will be assembled and tested at the Kanto plant in Fujisawa, Japan. Deliveries start later this year.
The Smiths system is standard on the Boeing 777 and the AH-64D Longbow Apache.
