Smiths Aerospace has been awarded a number of additional contracts for systems on the Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) T-50 Golden Eagle Advanced & Lead-in Fighter Trainer aircraft for the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF).
KAI has selected Smiths for systems including the main generator, cockpit control panels, battery charging system, caution /warning, voice and data recorders, advanced data transfer equipment, plus airborne video solid state recorders.
KAI has also selected Smiths' Integrated Standby Instrument System (ISIS) as a backup flight instrument (BFI) for the KT-1 Turboprop trainer export variant.
