William Turner has been promoted to vice-president for North American military marketing at technology company Smiths Industries Aerospace. A former US Army aviation colonel, Turner was most recently regional manager at Smiths' St Louis, Missouri, field office. Thomas Whipple becomes vice-president of finance for US defence business, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Raymond Casper is named vice-president of human resources. He was formerly vice-president at APV Baker. Paul Seymour is appointed vice-president for international trade controls, based in Washington DC. Seymour, with the company since 1979, is a former US Air Force colonel.
