Cessna has flown the first production Citation Sovereign mid-size business jet ahead of schedule. The aircraft joins the prototype in the flight-test programme, with US certification due late next year. The prototype has logged more than 130h since its first flight in late February. The second production aircraft will also be used for flight testing.

Turkish business jet charter company Air Sapphire has been heavily fined by the US government for flying a Gulfstream GIV to Russia without authorisation.
The Federal Aviation Administration has ordered inspections of the Gulfstream G500 and G600 fleet in response to a “quality escape” involving improperly installed engine-mounting hardware.
