NASA has signed a $34 million lease/purchase agreement with McDonnell Douglas to acquire land and buildings at Clear Lake, near the Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas, where a new and larger neutral buoyancy laboratory will be located to train astronauts for space station space walking operations. NASA operates neutral-buoyancy tanks at Johnson and at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama.
