The Alenia Aerospazio/ Lockheed Martin C-27J Spartan has received its civil aviation Type Approval certificate.
The certification comes after intensive trials including more than 400h flying time in less than 13 months. The Spartan is able to carry out a wide range of missions, including troop, cargo, medical, military and paratroop transport, plus maritime patrol.
