Indian budget carrier SpiceJet has inked a 10-year exclusive engine maintenance agreement for its Boeing 737 fleet with SR Technics.
The deal, worth up to $415 million over the contract period, comprises scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, condition monitoring and spare engine support for the airline's CFM International CFM56-7B fleet.
Work will be carried out at SR Technics powerplant overhaul shop in Zurich with immediate effect.
The Delhi-based airline operates 32 Boeing 737-800 and -900ER aircraft with 31 more on order, according to Flightglobal's ACAS database.
