SR Technics has expanded its integrated component solutions contract with Garuda Indonesia to include support for the carrier's Boeing 737 Next Generation fleet.

The $36 million deal, which covers 43 aircraft, will run from 1 April through to 31 March, 2016.

The agreement includes a starting inventory of 455 part numbers in Zurich, says SR Technics, plus an SR Technics-owned home-base stock of inventory in Jakarta, which Garuda will utilise on a lease basis.

SR Technics says it will also support PT GMF Aeroasia, Garuda's maintenance facility to develop some in-house component maintenance capability.

Garuda says it will have 153 new aircraft by 2015, hence the need for SR Technics integrated component solutions offering.

SR Technics has been providing a similar service for Garuda since 1999 on its Airbus A330 fleet.
