Swiss maintenance provider SR Technics has completed a programme of interior modifications on Airbus A330s in Air Europa's fleet.
The Spanish carrier had requested three business-class cabin modifications and installation of new in-flight entertainment systems on a total of 12 aircraft, says SR Technics.
Begun in February, the work was carried out at SR Technics' Zurich facilities – which include a "centre of excellent for cabin modifications".
To provide wi-fi services, Panasonic's Global Communication Suite has been fitted to all 12 of the jets. A new crew-rest modification has also been performed on the aircraft, adds SR Technics.
For the three aircraft equipped with new business-class cabins, the workscope included installation of Stelia seats and Zodiac's "Rave" IFE and wi-fi system.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that Air Europa's in-service fleet includes 12 A330-200s and three A330-300s, alongside 20 Boeing 737s, three 787s, eight Embraer 195s, one ERJ-145 and five ATR 72s.
