EasyJet has contracted Swiss MRO provider SR Technics to overhaul thrust reversers on Airbus A320ceo-family aircraft.
SR Technics says the exclusive three-year deal covers thrust-reverser inspections and repairs on the UK low-cost carrier's CFM International CFM56-powered A319s and A320ceos.
The equipment will be serviced at SR Technics' headquarters in Zurich.
EasyJet has been a customer of SR Technics for several years. Previous contracts cover line maintenance at airports in Switzerland and the UK, plus heavy airframe checks at the MRO provider's base in Malta.
SR Technics has also provided component and engineering support to EasyJet.
The airline's head of engineering, Gary Smith, describes the thrust-reverser deal as "another significant step forward in our relationship with SR Technics".
EasyJet is scheduled to receive its first Leap-powered A320neo on 14 June. Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that the Luton-based carrier has 100 A320neos and 30 A321neos on order.
It has 143 A319s and 131 A320ceos in service and 21 A320ceos on order.
