ST Aerospace has signed a 10-year, S$472 million ($351 million) contract extension with India’s Jet Airways for engine maintenance.
The extension will see ST Aero continue to provide MRO support for the carrier’s CFM56-7B engines, which power Boeing 737 aircraft operated by Jet Airways and its low-cost unit Jetlite, says the Singapore MRO firm in a statement.
ST Aero will provide both off-wing and on-wing services at its MRO sites in Singapore and Xiamen, China.
Flightglobal’s Ascend Fleets database shows that Jet Airways has 75 in-service 737s. Of these, 59 are 737-800s equipped with winglets. It also operates three baseline -700s, three -700s with winglets, four baseline-800s, two baseline -900s, and four -900ERs with winglets. It has a single 737-800 in storage.
