Singapore Technologies Aerospace (ST Aero), the aerospace arm of Singapore Technologies Engineering, is setting up a Sikorsky S-76 helicopter maintenance and overhaul operation.
ST Aero aims to be fully certificated by Sikorsky as an authorised service centre for the aircraft by the end of the year. It will also offer modification and upgrade support for the S-76.
The company provides a one-stop support service for several helicopters and is one of the largest Bell Helicopter service centres in the Asia-Pacific. It estimates there are 38 operators of the S-76, flying about 100 aircraft, in the region.
