Anthony Vandyk complains about the omission of the BAC One-Eleven from the UK Post Office's choice of aircraft to illustrate 50 years of jet travel (Flight International, 11-17 June).

Eccentric the PO's list may be, but that does not make the One-Eleven, popular though it was, "the UK's best-selling jet".

That title surely belonged to the DH/HS/BAe 125 even before the project was sold into the USA. And has not Mr Vandyk heard of the late lamented BAe 146, which has also comfortably outsold the One-Eleven?
