Star Europe, the French charter airline, is planning to acquire later this year a McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30 to operate on long-haul charters to the French Caribbean. The airline, which was acquired by the Canadian tour firm Transat Group earlier this year, is also returning some of its leased Boeing 737s at the end of 1996, and it intends to add two Airbus A320s on lease from GATX for use on its European charter services.
