Indian start-up carrier Visa Air aims to launch services from Mumbai next month using Bombardier Dash 8-100s. Three are due to arrive soon and another two will follow in September, says general manager Capt Vivek Sane.
The Indian Government has been trying for years to expand regional operations, particularly in the northeast. Regional development has been hampered by inadequate facilities, stringent pricing controls and high taxes. Visa Air will shortly reveal a launch date and routes.
