Dutch aerospace firm Stork has reached an agreement to acquire landing-gear components specialist SP Aerospace & Vehicle Systems, which was recently declared bankrupt. Eindhoven-based SP Aerospace provides the landing gear for the NH Industries NH90 tactical transport helicopter - in which Stork is a stakeholder - but also designs and builds Embraer ERJ-135/145 nose landing-gear retraction mechanisms and Airbus A340 steering actuators. "The acquisition means Stork will be able to continue the production and supply of the landing gear for the NH90," says Stork.
