Matra BAe Dynamics made the first fully guided firing of the Storm Shadow/Scalp EG conventionally armed stand-off missile at the end of last month. Launched from 20,000ft (6,100m) at Mach 0.9, the weapon flew 250km (135nm) at Mach 0.8 before hitting its target.
