The UK Ministry of Defence has signed a ú700 million ($1.13 billion) contract with Matra BAe Dynamics for the development and production of the Storm Shadow stand- off missile for the Royal Air Force. The missile, which is a derivative of the Matra Apache, is scheduled to enter service in 2001.
