Air New Zealand has appointed Walmart US chief executive Greg Foran as its next chief executive, commencing in the first quarter of 2020.
New Zealand-born Foran has held several senior roles at Walmart International since 2011, and has run its US operations since 2014. Prior to that, he held several positions at retail companies in Australia and New Zealand.

Foran takes over from Christopher Luxon, who finished up with the airline after eight years on 25 September and handed over the reins to chief financial officer Jeff McDowall.
