Vietnam carrier Bamboo Airways plans to launch Hanoi-Prague services in early 2020 with Boeing 787-9s.

The service will be operated thrice weekly, according to a statement from Bamboo parent FLC Holdings.

it did not give a specific date for the commencement of flights.

In April, the airline signed a memorandum of understanding with Prague’s Vaclav Havel International airport during a visit to the Czech Republic by Vietnam’s prime minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, who attended a signing ceremony between the airline and airport officials.

Cirium fleets data indicates that the airline has 11 Airbus A320-family jets in service. In addition, it has 13 aircraft on order: three A320neos and 10 787-9s.

The airline’s route network is entirely domestic, and 60% of capacity as measured by seats deployed on the Ho Chi Minh City-Hanoi route.
