Malaysia Airlines has rebranded the first class product offered on its Airbus A350-900s and A380s as 'Business Suite'.
The carrier explains the product offers an "enhanced business class service at an attractive price point for passengers". It also extends perks previously enjoyed by first class passengers, such as a dedicated check-in counter, access to its first class lounge, and a 50kg baggage allowance.
"The new Business Suite was introduced in response to the growing demand of our guests. Our target is to enable the frequent flyer, looking for enhanced comfort, to now be able to enjoy a premium experience at competitive prices. We are confident that our new Business Suite will change the way people travel in business class," says the airline's group chief executive Izham Ismail.
The product can be found on flights from Kuala Lumpur to London, Osaka, Seoul, Sydney, and Tokyo during the winter schedule.
On the A350s, there are four seats fitted with the product in a 1-2-1 seat formation, and each suite comes with a retractable privacy door. It extends into an 83in full-flat bed, has a width of 23in, and a seat pitch of 83in.
The A380s feature eight suites on the main deck, fitted in a similar formation to the A350s. Those seats can be extended into an 87in full-flat bed, has a bed width of up to 40in, and a seat pitch of 89in.
