Ryanair's first Boeing 737 Max narrowbody will be deployed at London Stansted airport.

Speaking at a media event in the UK capital today, Ryanair marketing chief Kenny Jacobs said that the first of the low-cost carrier's on-order Max jets would arrive at the Essex gateway in April and be followed by another four this year.

Jacobs notes that the aircraft, fitted with "new interiors", will offer more legroom and more seats than the carrier's 737NGs.

Flight Fleets Analyzer data shows that Ryanair has 135 Max 8 jets on order – all of the high-density Max 200 sub-variant – and holds options on a further 75.
