Air France-KLM's budget carrier Transavia has named Marcel de Nooijer as its new chief executive, succeeding Mattijs ten Brink who departed the company at the end of September.
De Nooijer will take over at the beginning of January 2020, the airline says.
He joins the operator from his position as executive vice-president of Air France-KLM Cargo and managing director of Martinair.
Transavia has also disclosed that commercial director Erik-Jan Gelink is to leave the airline at the end of this year, after more than three years.
Transition to the new chief and the departure of Gelink marks a "natural moment" to optimise the Transavia management team, says the carrier, along with the division of tasks within it.
"This gives substance to the intention to go from four to three members of the board," it adds.
