Israel Aircraft Industries and Elbit have independently completed their design work on Sukhoi Su-22 upgrades. The improvements are based on a cockpit upgrade and the installation of a multi-role radar and advanced electronic-warfare suite. Eastern European air forces are Israel's main targets.
