Canada and Brazil have broken off talks aimed at resolving their multi-billion dollar dispute over aerospace subsidies. The World Trade Organisation (WTO) ruled against handouts to regional jet manufacturer Embraer in March, but rival Bombardier says Canada finds Brazil's reading of the ruling "totally unacceptable". Canada is authorised to impose C$4.9 billion ($3.2 billion) of sanctions against Brazil, or may go to the WTO for other redress.
